How do I monitor only one alarm using Siemens WinCC?

There are many ways to monitor only one alarm using AlarmLogix and how this is done relies on the OPC Server.

Below is an example to track an Oxygen Analyser Warning alarm limits and mimic the WinCC alarm banner response. This example assumes the beacon is already setup, it's running on Windows 2000 SP4 installed with Siemens PCS7 V6.1 and WinCC Connectivity Pack

Step 1

: Ensure the WinCC Connectivity Pack is installed correctly.

Step 2: Start AlarmLogix by Start>Programs>AlarmLogix then select AlarmLogix

Step 3

: Connect to WinCC OPC AE Server

Step 4

: Click Beacon No.1 Tab then select the element Configuration button to bring up the main set up window

Step 5

: Use the WinCC Alarm Logging view to get the message numbers for the alarms you want to track.

Step 6

: Select as many Conditions as you want to track from the left list box then click >> to add them to the right list box. All existing tracked alarms will be cleared from the alarm buffer and only these alarms will now be tracked.
